Ceramic Decorating Techniques Workshop

Service Description
* THIS CLASS IS RECOMMENDED TO PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH POTTERY AND ARE LOOKING TO EXPAND THEIR DECORATING SKILLS. In this 3 and a half hours one day workshop you will be introduced to proper use of commercial glazes and underglazes. We will practice a few decorating techniques using these products. You will learn how to draw on clay, use of wax resist and other methods that you can add to your pieces at the leather hard and bisque stage. Participants will receive an sgraffito tool and a bottle of wax to get you started.* I will provide test tiles to practice all techniques taught. We provide: (these items are not to take home ) a wide selection of underglazes and glazes to try basic brushes artist tape wax stamps Materials to bring: one leather hard and one bisque piece to practice on sponge inspiration patterns and images notebook/sketches scissors brushes you like stamps and other objects to make impressions on clay pin tool your favorite tools
